Little fun in the River

The girls love the water. Piper took to it very quickly with big sis Roxy showing her the way. Amelia also loves the water and is almost to excited about getting to work. The girls in the videos were swimming in our local river, which has had a lot more current this year due to the fact that its rained a lot more than normal here in Maine this year. Swimming in the current I find is really good for them, it helps build muscle and make them stronger swimmers. Especially where in the fall these girls will be expected to be swimming with real ducks or geese. I’ve also had to work a lot  more with Roxy as she is used to being the only dog so re working on our break training, and understanding that other dogs may go instead of her has been quite the difficult lesson at times.
