Day 1 of 3 of the annual Hunt in Maine

Every year a friend of ours from Delaware has been coming up to hunt for three days and we go down and hunt with him for three days. The first day was probably our best hunt of the year here in Maine. We ended the day with 6 mallards and 4 geese. Roxy had an absolute amazing day she retrieved everything we dropped but the last goose of the day is was about 100 yard swim away and she was just to tired, and I honestly don’t blame her as she had done many long retrieves that day, and she still had a few more days of hunting left. She did every retrieve just as perfect and was a great first day to us starting off this hunt. After we had finished for the morning though we actually took our friend partridge hunting, as its not something they hunt in Delaware, and he was able to get one, while out on that hunt we actually took Piper along with us, though she mostly just slept in the Truck.
