My Favorite Hunting Day

This day in November had to be by far my favorite day of hunting in 2020. My husband and our friend were planning a day to hunt and were planning to go on the river which has some current, and Roxy wouldn't have gone, but I changed there plans, they didn't want to hunt the river if I was going to go, and low and behold I decided to go. Which then changed our plans to hunt in a field, in which case Roxy would be able to go. We had everything we needed blinds calls guns etc. Then we hear it ducks coming working it just like we wanted we shot four first go. We had to get more picky and start looking for drakes. Then the geese took off and oh my did they fly, had to be at least a thousand. We got some to come over and shot at some smaller flocks, as we mostly were looking for ducks and were not as interested in the geese. Though we ended up with four out of the six we could have had.  We finished up our hunt in good shape, and miss Roxy if it wasn't for her she and I wouldn't have found one of the nicest drakes we shot that day. She had a good nap after this hunt, but she loved every minute of it, and did what she needed to do. She's a good dog, she may not be the best but she makes for great company.
