Time to Pack it Up

All in all this girl had an amazing season for 2020. She was finally able to hall a duck out of the water this year, and hunt in her blind. She didn't always have the perfect day but you never do. She did what we asked and her and I as a team learned a lot from each other. We had to relearn how to hunt, and how hunting with a dog rather then just people is very different. You need to be ready for them to go out, and know if something comes in well, she's all ready out. She got to hunt with many different people this year and a lot of new places. We ourselves as hunters continue to learn, and what we need to do better next time.

Roxy is by far not the most perfect hunting dog, but she can do the most important things, she can stay in her blind and not break when the shooting starts. She can stay quite when the birds are cupping in and flying right at us, she will even let them walk around on the ground and for this being her second season and still not even 2 years old, she is amazing. She also missed the most curtail time of training when she decided to take her own vacation, but know its time to put the blinds away, the decoys, the camo, and bring out the snow blower, it has finally decided to snow here in Maine, and she's ready for some off time, and time to play
