Fall in Maine with a Three Legged Pup

Hey everyone if any of you live in Maine, I'm sure you know that fall time is just a wonderful time of year. The leaves turn, the bigger flocks of geese are coming, and walking out in nature is that much more enjoyable. Whenever I'm not studying for school I try and get out for a walk behind my house for a little bit, and of course my three legged buddy has to tag along. This particular day we went out on was opening day of "bird season" partridge hunting. I wasn't really planning on getting anything, which I didn't but it was nice to throw on some orange, and even miss Roxy's orange and get out to enjoy the day. She and I walked about a good forty five minutes, enjoying the fullness of the leaves and listening for any rustles that might be worth a look. We made our way back to the house empty handed of course but as fall continues and the leaves fall off more and more, the birds will have less hiding places and Roxy and I will be sure to get some, and make a yummy partridge stew.
